During AIDS/LifeCycle 7 last week, a woman brought her kittens to the camp for us to play with. Support on the ride comes in all forms from the financial support of our donors, the folks who come out to thank us for riding along the way, to doing things like kitten therapy for a lot of very tired roadies and riders.
That orange K-19 chip the little fella's going after is my address for the ride. The letter is the gear truck we're assigned to. When we arrive in camp we find our truck to get our bag and tent then find the marker on the grid where we're supposed to set up our tent.
I have the chips from my previous two riders on the chain and this year they started a new thing with black recognition chips that have a big number for the number of riders you've done, saving the bother of having to count how many chips other riders have on their chains.
