Lot of hope and a lot of pain

I woke up two hours ago, a little before 3:00am, because of the pain in my foot. Yesterday afternoon I went to my doctor for the results of the MRI and learned that on top of the capsulitis, I'd torn the plantar plate and will never be able to wiggle my second two again.
She gave me a shot for the capsulitis that started helping immediately and if I stayed off it for a day, I'd be able to get back on my bike and get back to training for AIDS/LifeCycle on sunday.
Something's gone wrong and now there is a constant pain in the top of my foot that becomes the kind of blinding pain if I move the toes or put any pressure on it. My doctor gave me her cell number in case anything goes wrong and I wonder how early I should call. I thought about the hospital, but just the short walk down the hall was hard enough.
I was hopeful yesterday that I would be able to ride AIDS/LifeCycle this year, but now I'm really doubtful of the 7 day 545 mile ride if I can't even go to the bathroom without crying in pain.
Our team jerseys arrived yesterday and got me even more hopeful.
While our company doesn't have any kind of matching fund program, everyone is fully behind the ride and we've donated their TypePad blog and no one needed to be talked into springing for jerseys. I was very happy with how my design turned out, everyone was. Alex will be wearing his this weekend and I wish I could say the same.
I'm still going to be doing the ride though and I need your donations of support to reach my fundraising goal.
