Riding AIDS/LifeCycle I've picked up a few jerseys and the other day packing I started to mix and match my outfits for the week.
Day 2 is my volunteer rider leader jersey because it's ride leader appreciation day and being a ride leader helping others train is something I'm really proud of. I get so few chances to wear it too, because I'm afraid someone on a training ride is going to follow me by mistake and get separated from their ride.
Day 4 will be my nifty new Team TypePad jersey because that's the day we reach the halfway mark and Alex and I want to take a photo together in our matching jerseys.
Day 6 I've got my blue AIDS/LifeCycle 4 poppy jersey and picked out my bright pink socks that read "hottie" because by then everyone is so thoroughly exhausted I want to do something to keep it fun and maybe give someone a laugh.
Day 7 riders who raised $5,000 or more receive a special commemorative jersey and traditionally wear them on Day 7 for ride in. It's really something to see so many people who've raised so much money to fight AIDS.
Since I'm not there yet, I've got my "5000 jersey" from AIDS/LifeCycle 4 set aside because while I might not match everyone, it's an achievement I wasn't sure I'd be able to do. I hope with a few more donations I'll reach my goal and have a very visible symbol that I've helped make a difference in the fight against AIDS.
Please help my in ending the global AIDS pandemic with a donation of support and thank you to everyone who's already helped.
