When Facebook apps first arrived, my newsfeed was cluttered with app messages (bites from just about every kind of monster) coming mostly from friends and coworkers who in technology. Last time I read my newsfeed though, the updates from those early adopters are mainly that they joined a group or became friends, not apps.
Most of the app activity now is coming from friends outside of technology, or at least aren’t big early adopters. Last week a Facebook app which lets you buy and sell friends took off in a big way with some friends, and I bought a number of friends and coworkers at Six Apart to see what would happen.
No one at Six Apart picked up the game, I expected maybe a few would join in just for some fun, but not after corning the world’s Trott market it didn’t seem to stir any interest at all.
I wonder if this circle of friends will loose interest in apps as well, settling on some useful and favorites, but otherwise begin to ignore the unending stream of Facebook app notifications as just more advertising.

Four competing designs for the development of what's now a parking located just south of the Giants' Ball Park have been revealed by the Port Authority. The Giants' own proposal is my hands down favorite.

Thanks to Simon for introducing me to the Zero Punctuation game reviews. The animated reviews are full of offensive jokes and comments that made me laugh so hard I cried.

After four months of using Leopard and I hadn't even noticed the keyboard selection had changed. I hadn't noticed because unanchored selection is so unforgiving I just used the mouse instead. Thank you for the fix Apple.

My mom sent my this link to a database of shortcuts you can use to bypass the phone-tree systems of major companies and reach a real human operator. It's similar to the username and password sharing service Bug Me Not where the database grows and improves by us users making additions and corrections.

Ask someone to tell you how they use a piece of software or a website and you'll almost certainly get a different answer than if you sat down and watched how they really use it. Not on purpose of course.
