Mr. Chairman

I've been serving on the SF Municipal Transit Agency's Citizen Advisory Council for nearly a year now and I must be doing something right since last week I was appointed to chair the Planning and Marketing Committee. The committee's roll is to provide feedback to the SFMTA marketing and planning staff, offering suggestions and recommendations and bridging the gap between the agency and the general public.

I've never been in charge of something like this before and I hope this will work out for the better.

Congratulations on the appointment and the opportunity to help implement cutting-edge marketing strategies to attract new riders to transit. We share ideas from around the world on our company's blog at www.PermanentCampaigns.com and feel free to use any of them that make sense for San Francisco. Good luck!

Thank you Dan for the congratulations and for the link. You're site will provide some very good insight into attracting and serving riders better.

Congratulations! And now the work begins... How will the Council take suggestions from MUNI riders as to possible improvements? Will there be meetings? A website?
