Harry Potter and the Undelivered Book

I ordered Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows well in advance, along with Amazon.com's guarantee it would be delivered on the day of release.
It's tuesday afternoon and I'm still waiting.
The UPS tracking system showed it had been delivered to my office and left at the front door. I could just picture some homeless crackhead trying to sell it on the street, but I called UPS because there is no possible way they would leave a package in front of a building on a busy street. As it turns out, leaving it on the street is their policy when it comes to basic delivery. While I will never use UPS to ship anything, the woman on the phone was nice enough to tell me I should contact Amazon because it was a special circumstance.
Amazon was nice enough to refund me the full price of the book because they had guaranteed delivery and my copy of the book hadn't been taken by some crackhead after all. The deal was any undelivered books were dropped in the mail and the US Postal Service would deliver it monday.

Several people have said to just go out and buy a copy but it's a waste to buy a copy when I have a free one coming. At least I might have a free copy coming?
