Last week, at the end of Lost when they air the next episodes preview I noticed they changed the music.

Though it has been airing without repeats for a few months solid, there are now just five episode left in the season. The commercial stressed that point, I forget if they phrased it as a countdown or just there will be a lot of drama in the remaining episodes, but I did notice how they ratcheted the music up.

And when you want to make something seem intense, there seems to be no better score than the theme from Requiem for a Dream. Even if you've never seen the film, you've certainly heard the score before in one of the Lord of the Rings trailers or any of the other movies it's been used in.
