This latest scandal is just sad, but I just had to write a sarcastic post about it.
Last weeks revelation Florida Republican Representative Mark Foley's is a pedophile, comes just a year after Spokane's Republican mayor Jim West was recalled for the same crime.
Is the reason, to some degree, the Republican Party is so against gay rights is because they don't see there is a difference between us and the pedophiles in their own party?

Jesse, not only is he gay, you didn't mention the bit about his claim of being molested as a teen by a Catholic priest. Spreading the blame in case there is anyone left who isn't offended and horrified.
Someone posted a frighteningly long list of Republican pedophiles in office.

A pedophile is someone who is attracted to immature pre-teens. Foley is an ephebophile, someone who is attracted to older, sexually mature teenage boys. This makes him no different than any number of 30-something, female high-school teachers... ;-)

And let's not forget his drinking problem. A stint in rehab should have his taste for hig-school boys wrapped up in no time.

Amen. And it only gets worse: Now they're trying to pin his pedophile behavior on his being secretely gay.
How the GOP still gets off claiming to be the "values" party escapes me.
