That's Not Seattle

I don't know if I've ever had a Jones Soda, but I've allways liked that in contrast to the colorful sodas, their labels use black and white photographs.
Getting ready for a pool party, my roommate and I went food and drink shopping saturday evening. I noticed something out of place when I walked by a sampler box of Jones Soda.

The photo is of Powell Street Station, a subway station here in San Francisco, I use nearly every day. Of all the photos to choose for a Seattle sampler, I'm surprised they didn't pick one a favorite Seatle landmark.

So they are just really excited about getting rail? I like that explanation, except if that were the case they probably wouldn't have picked a Muni or BART station.
Maybe someone is a fan of THX-1138. Or perhaps has a thing for hexagonal tile.
I like that white hexagonal tile look, it would just be really nice if they cleaned it.

Ah, San Francisco should be honored to be seen in the likes of Seattle...

What cracks me up is that the portion of Powell St. station in the photo always smells so urine-ey. Ick! Not exactly what I want to be reminded of when drinking a soda. BUT, I definitely admit, the picture looks sharp on that label.

I agree the selection for this particular flavor is odd, but I admire the eclectic mix of photographers and subjects that Jones selects from. We actually discovered their tasty vanilla soda because my wife so admired the Chihuahua picture on the bottle. And I believe that a local (to me, Columbus) art-school student was recently honored by having a photo appear on Jones' packaging. That's kinda cool.

i am a san francisco resident and a seattle native. i have a question, just what flavor is a seattle sampler? rainwater and heroin?
volunteer park bush bunny filled condoms?
flying salmon and 211 black label?

I think it's because the bus tunnel under Seattle is closed while they upgrade it to rail, perhaps?
