Hypocrisy

To mark the third anniversary of the Iraq fiasco invasion, San Francisco held what else but a protest.
As attendees were driving toward Civic Center up Eleventh Street, I was walking the other way to do some furniture shopping and get some curtains for the new place.
Along the way there was one war protester that caught my attention. I'm guessing she was on the way to the protest because she was dressed a little on the hippy side and didn't seem comfortable driving in the city. She was leaning her head out of her giant Escalade to see if the next lane was clear.
Full disclose: I used to own an SUV, but I never drove it to protest a war for oil and I now take public transit.

Well, there is disagreement. It's just that it's a disagreement between the Bush administration and the rest of the world.

I think "protest" implies disagreement, and there seems to be a pretty clear war-is-bad consensus among anyone paying attention to the kerfuffle downtown today. It was more of a parade than a protest -- like the St. Patrick's day thing, or a gay pride march. It was a peacenik-pride parade.
